Dama Da Cao
It was a really good week this week. The work has been great and we have accomplished a lot. I have been learning more about acting on spiritual promptings and it is changing on how we work every day. We have a large focus on talking to everyone we know and see and it has been really good. We went on exchanges that went well and went to Huanchaco and Dama de Cao archeological site and museum for p-day.
This week I have been learning more about charity. In 1st Corinthians 13: 4-6, it says,
4. “Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5. Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6. Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth”.
Two lines really stood out to me. Charity suffereth long and is not easily provoked. I have been thinking about in my own life times when I have got angry or have let little things get to me or upset me. I want to work on not being easily provoked. Last week when studying about the life of Christ, people were persecuting him and he never let it get to him. He went through the hardest things and he was not provoked. Why should I then let things get to me? I am going to work on that. The thought of hurting someone or being mean to someone makes me feel sad.
My challenge to you all is to find ways to have more charity this week and not be easily provoked.
Have a great week!
