Be A Peacemaker

Hola!

Last week was my last transfer. I am now in Cajamarca (and just like all of my other areas) I really like it here. If it wasn’t for school starting at the end of August, I would extend my mission. I have a great new companion named Elder Rios and he is awesome. The ward is dope with lots of cool members, and I have met a lot of really good people. The temperature is much cooler here. The stake had a cultural dance activity and we were able to invite some friends to come. It was a cool event.

I have been studying in Alma 24:17 where the people were assembled together and decided to bury their weapons of war. It reminded me of President Nelson’s talk “Peacemakers Needed”. We can covenant to “bury our verbal weapons” by treating others with kindness. I don’t want to be verbally cruel to anyone and hope we can all consider being a peacemaker with all those around us. I would encourage you to read this talk and see how you can implement it in your life.
