Is It I?

Hola,

It’s been a busy week this week with transfers.  I stayed in Jordan and my new companion is Elder Solano.  He is a great missionary.  We met many new friends, attended a baptism, split our zones, and dug a trench where there was a leaking water line.  I've also started a new way of journalling, adding drawings and visuals as opposed to just writing it all out.

In my studies this week, I was thinking about the question in Matthew 26: 21-22.  “And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.  22. And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I?”  Elder Uchtdorf said that question can apply to all of us.  When Christ said that someone would betray him, no one said, “It’s probably Phil”.  It shows that His disciples were humble.  They didn’t think that the message could apply to someone else.  They asked, “am I the one?” .  Asking the right question is when real progress is made.  Don’t let doubt or fear interfere with your spiritual growth.

Have a great week!
