I've Got The Fever

Hello once again from El Porvenir, Peru.

This has been an eventful week. I got sick and had a high fever on Tuesday but Elder Castillo took great care of me bringing me cold towels to help get my fever down. He’s a good one.  He also does a fantastic Bugs Bunny impersonation!

We have met a lot of good people, have taught a lot, and have two people on date for baptism.  We went to lunch with the zone on p-day and it’s still really hot - a big difference from the long winter many of you are seeing in Utah!

This week I was studying in 2 Nephi 26: 23-25

23: For behold, my beloved brethren, I say unto you that the Lord God worketh not in darkness. 24: He doeth not anything save it be for the benefit of the world; for he loveth the world, even that he layeth down his own life that he may draw all men unto him.  Wherefore, he commandeth none that they shall not partake of his salvation.  25: Behold, doth he cry unto any, saying: Depart from me? Behold, I say unto you, Nay; but he saith: Come unto me all ye ends of the earth, buy milk and honey, without money and without price.

What is causing darkness in our lives? Don’t let the darkness prevent us from turning to Christ. Inviting His light into our lives can help us in our challenges and trials. He loves us and wants us to come unto Him.  A good thought as we watch General Conference this upcoming weekend.

Have a great week!
