And The Rain Came Down
We had transfers this week and I have a great new companion named Elder Castillo. Also, my very first companion from my days of home MTC (Elder Kennedy) is now in El Provenir! We both started out in other places waiting for our Visas, but here we are kickin' it in Peru. We have had quite a bit of rain in the last week with more on the way. There was some flooding in the area, but not in our apartment - though we did have some leaks in the roof and window. We did our best to cover the leaky areas but the walls are still damp. We are all good though. Additionally, we helped clean the church for a dance and I tried a new dish (higado - I'll let you look that one up - I stuck mainly with the beans and rice). Oh, and I now have a new goal - to master the game Ludo which I've recently discovered.
I have been thinking about how we make changes in our lives that will ultimately be for the better. Sometimes giving up things can be hard but we shouldn’t be sad about it. When we make small changes in behaviors or habits and move on in a different direction, we will someday reflect on those changes and be glad for who we have become.
That's what I have for now. Stay classy.
Have a great week!
