SAFE ARRIVAL LETTER

Dear Parents of Elder George,

It was a pleasure to greet Elder  Aidan Benjamin George upon his arrival in the Missouri Independence Mission. The enthusiasm and humility of new missionaries adds greatly to the work. We wish to express our gratitude for your willingness to support your Missionary in serving the Lord full time. We know that many blessings will be realized by you as they fulfill this sacred responsibility.

Your missionary will appreciate a weekly letter or email from home. They are counseled to choose to either write, call, or email home only once a week on P Day. (Mondays)  Your Missionary should initiate all phone communications! Telephone calls from the missionary, should occur on the missionary’s “P” day. These calls are specifically for the parents of the missionary and should be brief.

Packages and letters should be addressed to your missionary with his full name, using the mission office address which is:

517 W. Walnut St. Independence, MO 64050 Remember that the mail system is slow here and you will need to plan ahead to allow extra time for delivery. We carry packages from here at the mission office to the missionaries during transfer week, and at zone conferences.  The missionaries are transferred too often for you to mail directly to their addresses.

If you need to contact your missionary, please get in touch with the mission office first by email or phone. 2011506@churchofjesuschrist.org. 816-252-6050

Sister Ames and I express our appreciation for the privilege of working with your missionary in the tremendous responsibility of being an ambassador of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May the blessings of the Lord be with you.

Sincerely Your Brother,

Lynn J Ames

Mission President
