It’s Just A Flesh Wound

Greetings,   It’s been another great week here in Independence.  We had transfers last week and I stayed in the same area.  I also got to visit the emergency room here.  To start off, I’m just fine.  I was performing some service and caught my finger on a sharp edge of a TV.  My finger started bleeding pretty good and I started feeling not so good. I walked out to the parking lot of the apartment complex and there just so happened to be a police officer just sitting there.   He saw me and came over to help.  He also called the fire department that was close by so that was crazy. I went to the emergency room where they got me all taken care of.  No stiches, but they glued it and I had to keep this sweet wrap on for a couple of days.  So I will now have an epic permanent souvenir of my mission and I can show everyone that they are number 1 (#1!).   I’ve been thinking a lot about faith.  I like to compare it to conducting a s...

Floating Jesus Picture

This week had some very powerful miracles. One of which, I was able to do a baptismal interview in Spanish, and they were baptized Sunday. It made the struggles of the week worth it! Wednesday, we had our final district council and had a powerful testimony meeting. My District has been a powerful example to me of being diligent and obedient to the work.  Gospel is true, Christ is my Savior, Joseph Smith was a Prophet, and I love to learn.  Other things that happen...hmmm...   Cool flower we saw Two sunsets that were legit  The smolder  A floating  Jesus Picture Thrifting ( whatever that means)

Unity And Da Henries

It’s been a good week.  The weather is warm and humid but nice.  We had some next level Polynesian food at a friend’s house and Elder Neal made some sourdough bread.  I’ve been trying to write in my journal every day in Spanish.  If my kids want to read my journal down the road, they are going to have to learn Spanish!   I have been studying a lot of topics this week but one that sticks out to me is isolation and unity.  Isolation and being alone isn’t good for us.  We can start having negative thoughts about ourselves, and can experience shame and loneliness.  Unity, on the flip side, is the opposite of isolation.  God wants us to be there for each other and to love and support one another.  I would encourage each of you to think of someone that you can reach out to this week to let them know they are not alone.   Have a great week.   Elder George   Pictures:           Da ...

My First Haircut

Hello everyone.  It has been a good week.  I went on exchanges wi th Elder Whittaker, and it was epic.  I performed some service, played some pickleball, and spent time with the great people here in Blue Springs. We were able to attend the temple on Thursday and that’s always a good experience.  My companion needed a haircut, so I gave it a go.     We had district council and talked about study habits.  It’s best to start your study with a question in mind.  I would invite you all to try that to help you find answers and improve your study.    Life is good.     Boom.   Elder George  aidan.george@missionary.org
