Finding The Hidden Miracles

Image
I'm not going to beat around the bush, this  week  was a bit rough. I had a headache throughout the majority of the week, which was frankly a bummer because I felt like I was lacking in the work. It has been a really humbling and interesting time though through it all. I have learned to be totally accountable for my actions, and remember the purpose of the work.    This week we had a few solid lessons. One of our investigators has started talking to his friends about the gospel and that has been a very cool experience. Ether 12 has officially become my new favorite chapter in the Book of Mormon. I have learned so much about charity in that chapter, and it has helped me realize that it is a gift from God that we can share with others.  Other than that, it has been a slow week.  I've been slowly catching up and realizing how the hand of God is in all things and finding the hidden miracles.  I will share more next week but my P-day ends in 1 minute....

The Voyage Begins

My week was solid.  We had to stay inside again because of the snow so we did a lot of calls and work via our phones.          Yes....Tuesday came we had interviews with President and had a solid lesson. My comp didn't feel too good so he wasn't able to talk too much but was good anyway.      Very interesting Wednesday, we meet this dude who was laying down some straight bars, and we got to listen to him rap in his home. We got to share a message with him though, and he seems like he could be interested.           In the spirit of Thursdays one of our dudes had to cancel, but we visited one of our other homies and he has been teaching his flat mates the Gospel.  So solid.  Next Thursday we finally will be starting an English class for anyone who can attend on either Zoom or in-person.        So for Friday we had District counsel and then a mission wide devotional. Hello/Hola,   I'm still alive and kicking. Last week we went to the temple, so I wasn't able to write my weekly email. It's OK though 'cause here are the top things that happened:   -We went on "blitz" or went with the A.P. (assistant to the president) missionaries to work with them for a day. Our APs are super powerful missionaries, and it was a great learning experience.   - New Year's we were stuck inside 'cause of the snow.   It was a vibe though and I got to talk to a lot of people on Facebook.    - The temple was awesome - learned some cool stuff about the creation this week.    - We put someone "on date" and will be working with him towards baptism.    - One of the members gave us a bunch of sushi that they were going to throw out the next day. It was pretty good sushi.   - Life is good, the gospel of Jesus Christ is real, and the mission is the life.   Elder (Aidan) George aidan.george@missionary.org   Pi...
