I Made A Cat Friend
Hello/Hola,
This week was a blur. I frankly can't remember everything that happened without looking in my journal. The biggest events that happened this week were: The beginning of the Spanish branch in our ward; the first baptism I was able to participate in; and my meeting with President Ames. Basically this week was insane. Elder Smith was officially sent to Brazil. He was a cool dude and will do well in Brazil.
Here's a play-by-play of the week:
Tuesday: Elder Smith left and we meet someone who has a lot of potential to be a powerhouse member.
Wednesday: Service at the food pantry, setting up Christmas decor, and interviews with President. A lot of the interview is personal. However one point worth sharing - when we pray we should really think about who God is and the idea that we are talking to Him. It has helped me personalize my prayer.
Thursday: Typical day in the field.
Friday: Had district counsel, some service projects and had a Christmas-meeting-thingy. Heard some jems about sacrifice.
Saturday: Mitch's baptism and a bunch of service.
Sunday: Announcement of the new Spanish branch followed by a quick mental breakdown about my Spanish. Mitch's confirmation. The reveal that one of the other Elders have been pranking me the whole time. He didn't have Narcolepsy, but was playing that he did. Teaching the Montoyas.
Monday: Normal day in the field.
