Greetings everyone,   This week was a busy week.  I had exchanges, which went well, and also went to two different areas to teach on Friday.  It was a busy day but a good one.  On Pday we went to a place called Granja Porcon which is a kind of a farm/ranch.    This week I was studying in Mosiah 24:13-15 which reads: 13  And it  came  to pass that the voice of the Lord came to them in their afflictions, saying: Lift up your heads and be of good comfort, for I know of the covenant which ye have made unto me; and I will covenant with my people and deliver them out of bondage. 14  And I will also ease the  burdens  which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand as  witnesses  for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their  afflictions . 15  And now it ...

I had another good week.  Our ward had a celebration for Peruvian Independence Day which was July 28 th .  It was a fun party and I met some great friends.  We are working with some really good people and things are going well.  We had a special dinner with our Pensionista’s  family and went on exchanges.  We also took the bus to Trujillo to attend the temple and meet with our mission leaders.   This week I was studying in Alma.  In Alma 38:5 it reads, “….I would that ye should remember, that as much as ye shall put your trust in God even so much ye shall be delivered out of your trials, and your troubles, and your afflictions, and ye shall be lifted up at the last day.”  This is a great scripture and promise.  Even in and during our trials we can be lifted up by putting our trust in God.  We just need to remember.    Enjoy the week!
